How to relax
Today I want to talk for an a contemplative practice such as meditation, a strategy to improve health and reduce stress. In this culture and country that we are immerse, stress and anxiety are very common and considering ultimate news, Chile as a high levels of mental diseases like depression comparing with the rest of Latin America. Also considering the high price of health in this country, is difficult to many people cost the price of the psychologist, psychiatrist and the medication to treatment. Is very important prevent risk behaviors and to cope with everyday problems in a health way.
Contemplative practices can empower people who are disadvantaged, marginalized, or under resourced to respond to the stresses that surround them in ways that serve their spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health needs like immune system.
Exists different types of meditation, but the most common consist in find a quiet place, sit down, close your eyes and focus on the breathing. Every time a thought appears in your head you only let it go without judging you and returns to focus in your breath.
Different psychologist and doctors in neurosciences have checked with scientific evidence the benefits of this, and is not necessary are a buddhist monk to try it, you only need perseverance.
